Charlie Schiano will be honored along with Joe Sirianni during halftime of the Lancers’ men’s game Sunday

It certainly will be a busy Sunday when the Rochester Lancers and Lady Lancers play their final games at Charles A. Schiano, Sr. Field.

During halftime of the Lancers’ match against Syracuse SC in a National Premier Soccer League encounter at 5 p.m., the Lancers will present a special gift to original owner Charlie Schiano and former trainer Joe Sirianni in honor of the 1970 North American Soccer League championship won by Rochester.

The UWS Lady Lancers (0-8) and NPSL Lancers (1-4-1) are home at Aquinas Institute.

The Lady Lancers meet Syracuse DA (2-2-2) at 2 p.m. and take on the Syracuse DA (2-2-2). The Lancers and Syracuse FC (0-2-2) will tussle in the second game of the doubleheader.

After the secocnd game, the Lancers will introduce the Flower City Union, which is taking over the Lancers men and Lady Lancers.

The Lady Lancers finish up their UWS season at FC Buffalo July 10.

The Lancers finish up their NPSL campaign with three road games – July 5 at Syracuse FC, July 10 at FC Buffalo and July 11 at the Pittsburgh Hotspurs.

All tickets are free and capacity restrictions have been lifted.
