HARRISON, N.J. – The Red Bulls (3-4-0, 9 points) look to extend their three-match home winning streak against Nashville SC (2-0-5, 11) at Red Bull Arena Friday at 8 p.m.
New York and Nashville battle for the first time in league history. The hosts enter the match with a 3-1-0 home record, accruing all of their nine points. Nashville is the only unbeaten team in the Eastern Conference and earning nine points in its last five matches (2-0-3).
The Red Bulls have won their last three home matches, which most recently includes a 2-1 victory over Orlando City SC. The Lions were unbeaten and had only conceded two goals in their previous six games. New York will look to extend its home winning streak to four matches for the first time since 2018. That streak ran from Aug. 5 to Sept. 22 with wins over LAFC (2-1), D.C. United (1-0), Houston Dynamo (1-0) and Toronto F.C. (2-0).
Red Bulls forward Patryk Klimala made his first career MLS start in the win against Orlando City and recorded his first professional assist. Midfielder Caden Clark, who has doubled his goal total from last season to four, is seeking to record a goal in his fifth consecutive home contest.
