ALAJUELA, Costa Rica – Revenge can be sweet, especially when you can deny your rivals of a big prize.
That would be an opportunity to reach the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup as the United States made no doubt about it with a 5-2 semifinal victory over Mexico in the Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship at the Sports Complex Fedefutbol-Plycem.
The Americans, who qualified for the sixth time, will compete in the World Cup in Russia Aug. 19-29 along with El Salvador. The Central American side defeat Guatemala, 6-2.
