When he created Morris Elite SC in 2016, owner Vincenzo Bernardo had a goal of making it an organization in which players can move up the ladder and play at the highest level.
It appears the team has taken its first step toward that goal as Will Bugliari became the first Morris Elite SC Academy player to sign with the USL League Two side, according to a source close to the club.
Bugliari, whose father Anthony played professional soccer in New Zealand, recently completed his freshman season at Colgate University.
The 6-1, 175-lb. Bugliari performed at midfield for Colgate. He appeared in five matches for the Raiders.
While attending The Pingry School, he was a two-time All-New Jersey selection, helping his squad to the Skyland Conference crown and state championship in 2019. Bugliari scored 18 goals and added 25 assists for 61 points during his high school career. A Madison, N.J. native, Bugliari also competed in four successive Somerset County tournaments, earning All-State and All-Conference first team honors on the strength of 11 goals and 11 assists in his senior season.
