ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Salvatore’s Pizza Family is opening a new location in Canandaigua, N.Y Tuesday afternoon.

A ribbon cutting celebration is scheduled for Tuesday at 3 p.m. with an official Grand Opening at 4 p.m. The restaurant is located at 540 N. Main St. Canandaigua, N.Y.

This new Salvatore’s location features an order pick-up window, dine-in seating with large TVs and a large slice display.
Open for Dine-In, Take-Out & Delivery: 540 N Main St, Canandaigua (585) 396-2525.

Ameer Alsaffar will be the franchisee owner/operator. He has been with the Salvatore’s Pizza Family for almost six years at the Chili location, managing the location for three years. Alsaffar is the perfect example of the Salvatore’s career advancement system. Like most of Salvatore’s owner/operators, Alsaffar advanced from pizza chef to manager to owner.

“Throughout Salvatore’s 43 years of business, several young pizza box makers and pizza chefs are now self-employed owner/operators,” CEO and founder of Salvatore’s Pizza Salvatore “SoccerSam” Fantauzzo said in a statement. “We plan to continue this tradition of growth and opportunity within all of our brands. We turn jobs into careers. Good Luck Ameer!”

Fantauzzo is the owner of the Rochester Lancers’ soccer teams.

The Salvatore’s Pizza Family has tried securing a location in this area for years. The renovation project for this location took much longer than anticipated due to constant COVID-19 delays on equipment, furniture and other challenges.

“Thank you, Canandaigua, for your patience!” Alsaffar said. “And I must show my gratitude to Ramez Alsafadi, owner/operator of the Chili Salvatore’s location. Ramez taught me everything I know; thank you for your constant guidance. And thank you to my Uncle, Ed Ali, for all of your continued support and encouragement.”

Added Salvatore’s president of business operations Ashley Maria King: “At only 25 years old, Ameer has an appetite and energy for success. Ameer’s passion for this industry, and his love for the Salvatore’s Pizza brand makes us so proud. We believe that this Canandaigua location under Ameer’s guidance will thrive.”

For the ribbon cutting ceremony, individuals are reminded to wear your mask and practice proper social distancing.

The restaurant is open for dine-in, take-out and delivery. (585) 396-2525.
