Red Bulls midfielder Caden Clark is continuing to burnish his legacy as one of finest young goalscorers in Major League Soccer history.

A little more than two weeks away from his 18th birthday, Clark scored the fifth goal of his MLS career in a 2-0 home win over Chicago Fire FC May , his second consecutive game with a goal.

Clark is tied for the sixth-most goals by a player before his 18th birthday in MLS history, according to the Elias Sports Bureau, and the most since Alphonso Davies scored eight goals while still under the age with Vancouver Whitecaps FC from 2016-18.

The Red Bulls teen was already the fifth-youngest player to score on his MLS debut (and the 19th-youngest overall in league history), netting in his first game for the Red Bulls  Oct. 10, 2020 against Atlanta, then became the youngest player in league history to score in his first two games when he hit the back of the net vs. Toronto FC. Oct. 14.

Clark will have two more chances to add to his total before turning 18 May 27. The Red Bulls play at the Philadelphia Union Saturday, then at the New England Revolution May 22.
