KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four Hofstra University women’s players were honored on the 2020-21 NCAA Division I All-East Region Team, the United Soccer Coaches announced Wednesday.

Senior forward Sabrina Bryan, senior midfielder Lucy Porter, and sophomore defender Anja Suttner were named to the All-Region first team, while junior forward Miri Taylor landed a spot on the second team. All four collected All-Colonial Athletic Association first team honors last month.

Bryan, the CAA attacking player of the year for the second successive season and three-time All-East Region honoree, turned in another excellent season. She led the CAA with 25 points on seven goals and a league-high 11 assists. She ranks second nationally in points per game and first in assists per game.

Porter, who repeated as the CAA midfielder of the year and earned East Region honors for third consecutive year, also posted huge numbers and topped the conference with 10 goals while adding four assists for 24 points. She scored multiple goals four times, including a hat-trick in the regular-season finale against Towson. Porter ranks fourth nationally in points per game and in goals per game.

Suttner, the back-to-back CAA defensive player of the year, secured first team honors after being named to the All-East Region second team last year. She played a key role on the back line that surrendered eight goals in as many matches and held opponents to an average of 4.5 shots per game. Suttner also contributed three goals, including one game-winning score.

Taylor, a USC All-East Region first team selection for the second season in a row, tallied 16 points on four goals and eight assists. Her 0.89 assists rank fifth in the nation, while her assist total ranks 13th. Taylor, in addition to Porter, recorded at least one point in all but one match this season.

Hofstra concluded the shortened spring season with a 7-1-1 mark.
