Former Cosmopolitan Soccer League president Miho (Mike) Miketich has passed away.

Miketich, who was 77, died on April 25.

After serving as vice president, he was elected CSL president from 1989-93 before becoming a league trustee for many years.

A member of N.Y. Croatia’s hierarchy for years, Miketich also worked with and for the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League.

“His dedication to the New York City soccer culture cannot be overlooked as much as it cannot be repaid,” a statement from the CSL said.

Born on June 4, 1943, Miketich most recently lived in Punta Gorda, Fla.

The Miketich family will receiving visitors on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, N.Y. 11358. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9:45 a.m. at St. Mel’s RC Church, 26-15 154th St., Flushing, N.Y. 11354. Interment will follow on Saturday at 11:15 a.m., St. Michael’s Cemetery, 7202 Astoria Boulevard S., East Elmhurst, N.Y. 11370.
