HARRISON, N.J. – Red Bulls II have signed forward Luther Archimede to a USL Championship contract pending federation and league approval, the club announced Monday.

Archimede, 21, attended Syracuse University for two years, where he made 20 appearances and recorded four goals.

“Luther has been impressive since joining us for preseason,” NYRB II head coach John Wolyniec said in a statement. “We are really excited about the work ethic he brings, his sprint capacity is impressive, and we are excited to have him with us this season.”

Prior to Syracuse, he played for FC Sochaux II for three seasons. He made 25 appearances and scored five goals.

“I am very excited to be joining the Red Bulls organization,” Archimede said. “I am looking forward to this opportunity and cannot wait to score goals and win games for this club and the fans.”

Archimede has featured for the Guadeloupe national team and its Under-20 team. He represented the 2018 Concacaf U-20 Championship, scoring six goals in five games. He made his senior debut against Martinique March 23, 2019.

The Les Abymes, Guadeloupe native was selected 13th overall by the Red Bulls in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft.
