NEW YORK – MSG Networks and the Red Bulls Friday announced the team’s telecast schedule for the Major League Soccer season.

MSG Networks will televise up to 30 of the Red Bulls’ 34 regular season matches this year.

MSG, which has been the regional television home of the Red Bulls (previously the MetroStars) since 1996, will telecast pregame and postgame coverage for all home games it televises, and pregame shows for all away games it shows.

Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Steve Cangialosi returns for his 14th season as the play-by-play announcer, alongside U.S. soccer legend and former Cosmos and New York Arrows goalkeeper Shep Messing, in his 21st season as game analyst. Michelle Gingras also returns for her fourth season as host and sideline reporter.

MSG Network will televise the Red Bulls’ season opener when they kick-off their campaign at home against Sporting Kansas City Saturday at 8 p.m. Last year, the Red Bulls reached the playoffs for the 11th consecutive season, which is tied for the second longest streak in MLS history.

Red Bulls games on MSG Networks will also be available for viewing on MSG GO, the networks’ live streaming and video on demand platform for smartphones, tablets and computers. The Spanish radio broadcast of the team’s radio channel, Red Bulls Radio, will also feature as the SAP option for MSG Networks telecasts, with broadcaster Stefano Fusaro calling play-by-play action.
