So, just which clubs have fared the best in their Major League Soccer season openers?

Sporting Kansas City has won 14 times to begin the campaign in its 25 MLS seasons, the most of any club in league history.

SKC, which visits the Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena Saturday at 8 p.m., is followed by the LA Galaxy and FC Dallas, with 13 season-opening wins apiece. Orlando City SC (1-0-5) and Los Angeles Football Club (3-0-0) have yet to lose in their season openers in club history.

Two stadiums will see season openers for the first time: DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, which will host two kickoff matches (CF Montréal-Toronto FC and Inter Miami CF-LA Galaxy), as well as Soldier Field in Chicago, which will host a Fire FC season-opening match for the first time in that club’s 24-year history when it faces the New England Revolution.
