The National Premier Soccer League has announced that Reign FK has joined the league as an expansion team.

The club, located in Bartlesville, Okla. will begin competition in the South Region in 2021.

“We are excited to see the NPSL continue its growth in the Heartland Conference, especially in Oklahoma,” NPSL managing director Cindy Spera said in a statement. “Reign FK’s community-centric approach to the game is a perfect fit for our league. We’re looking forward to seeing the club grow and develop as part of our competitive South Region.”

The club is led by Matt Mason.

“I’ve seen firsthand on many occasions, all around the world, the positive impact that a professionally organized club can have on small communities,” Mason said. “The NPSL is the perfect platform that provides our club the opportunity to bring that professional environment to our city and the neighboring communities here in the northeast corner of Oklahoma.”

Reign FK continues to grow from a grassroots approach, and encourages all players, fans, and supporters to reach out to the club with any questions they might have, no matter their location or situation.

“We are pleased that Reign FK has joined the NPSL,” NPSL director of membership development Dina Case said. “Reign’s grassroots approach to building their business fits in well with the NPSL’s philosophy and vision. This is a great addition to the South Region and we look forward to Reign FK finding much success both on and off the field for years to come.”
