U.S. men’s national team midfielder Weston McKennie and two Juventus teammates will be fined by police and face additional sanctions from Juventus for violating COVID-19 protocols during a party at his home in Turin, Italy.

McKennie, 22, the first American to play for the Serie A club, held a party Wednesday night that included approximately 25 people. Teammates Paulo Dybala and Arthur also attended the party, the Associated Press reported.

Under current COVID-19 restrictions, parties are not allowed as Italy has a curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Police reportedly arrived at McKennie’s house at around 11:30 p.m. while the party was still on. Neighbors called it in, according to the AP. The three players face fines from the police and sanctions from the team.
