CURACAO – Lyle Taylor’s 11th-hour goal lifted Montserrat into a 1-1 draw with El Salvador in a Concacaf Group A World Cup qualifying match Sunday.
Taylor’s header in the 89th minute gave the Emerald Boys their second consecutive point after they played to a 2-2 tie with Antigua Thursday.
It was Montserrat’s first point earned against the Central American side after losing to its foes during Concacaf Nations League qualifying and Nations League.
David Rugamas, set up by Jaime Alas, had given El Salvador a fourth-minute lead. It was Rugamas’ second goal in as many qualifying contests.
