BROOKLINE, Mass.- Roc Carles and Ryan Carmichael scored goals for the Hofstra University men the Northeastern Univesity scored late to earn a 2-2 draw in a Colonial Athletic Association match at Parsons Field Sunday afternoon.

Hofstra moved to 3-2-1, 1-0-1. Northeastern is 0-3-1 and 0-1-1.

Hofstra opened the scoring at 32:30 as Stefan Mason sent a ball into the box that was touched by Matthew Vowinkel to Carles. The freshman from Spain slid a shot past goalkeeper Colby Hegarty for the 1-0 lead. The goal was Carles’ first this season.

The Huskies answered back at 42:04 after being awarded a penalty kick following a Hofstra handball in the box. Timothy Ennin’s hesitation shot caused keeper Wessel Speel to dive right and the Northeastern striker sent the shot left to even things up at 1-1.

The Pride ttook the lead, 2-1 at 75:54 as Jack Nuttall sent a high ball into the box that George O’Malley went up for and chested a pass to Carmichael. The Pride freshman forward put a shot past Hegarty for his third goal of the year. Northeastern again had an answer as Dan Much scored the equalizer at 83:57.

Hofstra hosts the University of Delaware Friday at 5 p.m.
