CHICAGO – The National Independent Soccer Association Thursday released the 2021 spring season schedule.

Supporters will be back in the stands at reduced capacities based on each club’s respective state guidelines. Broadcast details will be released soon.

New Amsterdam FC will kick off its season against the Michigan Stars at the Michigan Stars Sports Center May 1 at a time TBD. The team will host Detroit City FC at the Hudson Sports Complex in Warwick, N.Y. March 7 at 7 p.m.

NAFC will call the HSC home this season.

“A hallmark of being an independent club is having the flexibility to play in a range of regional and national competitions,” NISA Chief Operating Officer Brian Melekian said in a statement. “We really worked to make sure our member clubs had space to play around a strong NISA schedule. Between our Legends Cup spring tournament in Chattanooga, eight in-season matches, potential playoff matches, and their independent schedule, 2021 will give supporters a lot of quality soccer.”

NISA clubs participating in the spring season include California United Strikers FC, Los Angeles Force, San Diego 1904 FC, Detroit City FC, Michigan Stars FC, Chattanooga FC, Maryland Bobcats FC, New Amsterdam FC and Stumptown AC.
