HARRISON, N.J. – Sky Blue FC will welcome the University of Virginia for a preseason match at the Red Bulls Training Facility Saturday at noon ET.
The game again be will be a closed-door affair with no spectators.
“Virginia is a tremendous college side so this gives us important competition prior to the Challenge Cup,” Sky Blue FC general manager Alyse LaHue said in a statement. “After seven preseason weeks of almost entirely internal competition, this opportunity is a tremendous chance to assess our progress as a club.”
UVA, a two-time ACC champion, has reached the NCAA Division I women’s tournament every year since 1994. The team has started its 2020-21 season at 2-0 record.
Sky Blue FC defeated James Madison University in its preseason opener March 7, 6-0.
