The Rochester Lady Lancers will have a new coach for the United Women’s Soccer season – Marc Dall.

Sal Galvano is stepping down for the 2021 campagin due to a conflict his Monroe Community College women’s team’s spring season. Lady Lancers assistant coach Nicole Hercules will spend her time running her youth soccer program, the Rochester City League.

So, Dall, the team’s Lancers’ youth director of coaching has stepped into the roll. Dall has extensive coaching experience. He has been the head coach the Eastridge High School girls team from 2015 to date. He also has been the director of coaching and co-president of the Greece United Futbol Club, age division coordinaror of the Rochester District Youth Soccer, of which he has been a board member since 0212.

“He is a true student of the game. He continues to educate himself through U.S. Soccer and now has the opportunity to advance into coaching at the UWS level,” Lancers president of soccer operations Doug Miller said in a statement. “I believe he is a great addition to the Lancers brand.”

The UWS season is expected to start in May, with the season to be announced soon. All Lady Lancers home games will be played at Aquinas Institute.

All home games will be streamed live on LancersTV, said Lancers president of operation Ashley Maria King.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Lady Lancers and to be part of the incredible soccer lineage that is the Rochester Lancers,” Dall said in a statement. I want to thank SoccerSam [Fantauzzo, team owner] and Kayla Kent-Moreira [director of soccer operations] for the opportunity and their faith in my vision for the team. As well as thank my predecessor Sal Galvano for all he has done for women’s soccer in the area and by building the framework as I step into this position.

“As we build our roster, we will look to tap into the vast quantity of extremely talented young women from our area who are currently playing collegiately across the country.” said Dall, “As well as look for some veteran leadership to return from the 2019 squad.”

Joe Giuliano will return to the LancersTV broadcasts. Giuliano is a Lancers Wall of Famer and has been with the club since 2011.

“The team will make a decision regarding spectators by April 15,” Fantauzzo said. “Our priority has always been and remains the safety for our fans, players and staff.”

The Lady Lancers’ 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
