HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Coming off a 4-1 victory over Stony Brook University Sunday, the Hofstra University men will look to make it two consecutive wins when they travel to the University of Massachusetts Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. kick-off in Amherst, Mass.

Hofstra (1-1) will play their first road contest of the season after playing a neutral site game against Syracuse University to open the year. Massachusetts (1-0) has played once this season, a 2-0 win over Northeastern University Feb. 24.

Massachusetts will provide live statistics and a live stream of the game will be available on ESPN+ (subscription required). Links are available above or on the men’s soccer schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

The Pride, which returned from a 16-day layoff against Stony Brook, erupted for four goals from as many players to earn their first win. Joe Wright and Jack Nuttall tallied their first career goals in the first half while Luca Tausch and Matthew Vowinkel added goals in the final 45 minutes. Wessel Speel made two saves to earn his first career victory in goal.

Hofstra and Massachusetts have met twice. Massachusetts took the first game in 1992, 5-2. The teams met again to open the 1994 season and played to a 0-0 draw.

Hofstra will return home to face Fordham University Saturday, March 6. Spectators are not permitted at Hofstra Soccer Stadium.
