FRISCO, Texas — The National Soccer Hall of Fame weekend has been moved to Oct. 2, it was announced Thursday morning.

That included the concent by Country Music Hall of Famer and 10-time Grammy award winner Willie Nelson’s postgame concert. The concert will take play Toyota Stadium as part of the 2021 National Soccer Hall of Fame Weekend.

The performance will take place following the 2021 National Soccer Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and FC Dallas’ match against an opponent that will be named at a later date.

Both events originally had been scheduled for May 22.

The Hall of Fame’s 2021 class has yet to be announced. This year’s induction ceremony will also feature the enshrinement of the 2020 class, Carlos Bocanegra and Colin Jose Media Award recipient Andrés Cantor, because the 2020 ceremony was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
