QUEENS, N.Y. – It’s been a tough start to the season for the St. John’s University men.

A day after the Red Storm was forced to put off its spring season opener against Saint Joseph’s, the team announced Sunday that home match against Fordham University has been delayed until the future.

Fordham announced Sunday that it has paused all athletic activities for the next two weeks due to a spike of COVID-19 cases at the Rose Hill campus in the Bronx.

The teams will attempt to make up the game at a yet-to-be-determined date later in the season.

The Johnnies will start their 2021 spring campaign at Belson Stadium at 1 p.m. Monday (ESPN3).
