U.S. national team goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher was named one of three finalists for the Best FIFA Women’s goalkeeper award, it was announced Friday.
Naeher, who performs for the Chicago Red Stars in the National Women’s Soccer League, is on hte ballot along with Sarah Bouhaddi (France, Olympique Lyonnais) and Christiane Endler (Chile / Paris Saint-Germain).
She was the lone USA player or coach listed among the finalists.
Naeher backstopped the USWNT to the 2019 Women’s World Cup crown.
The winner will be announced at the Best FIFA Awards ceremony Dec. 17.
