Two players with New York ties – defender Chris Duvall and midfielder Andres Flores – have had their 2021 options declined by the Portland Timbers Friday.

Flores played four North American Soccer League seasons with the Cosmos, while Duvall performed for the Red Bulls for three MLS campaigns.

In 2020, Flores, 30, made only three starts and four appearances for Portland, scoring once. He played three MLS seasons for the Timbers. The El Salvadoran international played 79 times for the Cosmos from 2014-17.

Duvall, 29, made nine starts and played in 10 matches this past season.
