MIAMI – New York City FC will play Tigres UANL in the second leg of its Concacaf Champions League quarterfinals in Orlando Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m.

NYCFC lost the opener at home March 11, 1-0.

The winner of that serious will meet the victor of the Montreal Impact-CD Olimpia quarterfinals in the semifinals at Exploria Stadium Saturday, Dec. 19 at 8 p.m.

The final is set for Tuesday, Dec. 22.

Concacaf announced the schedule for the CCL) final rounds Tuesday.

The competition was postponed in March, at the quarterfinal stage, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To resume this important competition, Concacaf made the decision to introduce a centralized and simplified format, and developed extensive new SCCL regulations to ensure the delivery of a safe and highly controlled environment for all the players, coaches, team staff and officials who will participate. These include a high-frequency COVID-19 testing regime before and during the competition and robust health and safety protocols which will be strictly applied.

Through the introduction of an adjusted format with single leg matches, the 2020 CCL will be concluded after a total of seven games.

The winner will be crowned Concacaf’s regional club champion and will earn the right to represent the confederation at the FIFA Club World Cup 2020, scheduled for Qatar Feb. 1-11, 2021.
