Don’t be surprised if Christian Pulisic is on the field for Chelsea when it battles Tottenham Sunday.
Blues manager Frank Lampard said that the U.S. men’s national team midfield is fit and could play against its London rivals in an English Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.
Pulisic has been sidelined with a hamstring issue the past two weeks. It forced him to miss both USMNT friendlies in Europe.
“Team news-wise, we are as we were really,” Lampard said at a press conference Friday. “Christian Pulisic is back in contention for the game after working on his fitness.
“Whether Christian is ready to start is another question, as it is hard to gauge match fitness when you’ve only been training but he is ready and he is in contention.”
