Rochester Lancers head coach Doug Miller will play in the first Major Arena Soccer League all-star game.
Miller has been added to the roster of the Eastern Conference team, it was announced Tuesday. At 51, Miller is the oldest pro soccer player in history, and the oldest player to play in an all-star game. He has been playing pro soccer since 1991-92 as the only American soccer player to have competed in four decades.
Utica City FC midfielder Darren Toby, who played with the Lancers during the 2018 National Premier Soccer League season, also was named to the Eastern Conference squad.
The Game is set for 8 p.m. ET at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Missouri Dec. 5.
“We are honored that Rochester’s living soccer legend, Doug Miller, will be representing our great city in this all-star game!” Lancers owner Salvatore “SoccerSam” Fantauzzo said.
