PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh men’s team, enjoying its best season in a long time, Wednesday hit the pause button all team-related activities due to COVID-19 related protocols.

The Panthers’ two remaining regular-season games, against Notre Dame (Oct. 30) and Syracuse (Nov. 6), have been canceled.

Pitt has been ranked No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches Division I poll the last two weeks.

The team already has qualified for the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament and will play a quarterfinal match on Nov. 15 at a site to be determined.
