Concacaf Tuesday suspended Tuesday night’s Concacaf League match between Archaie FC and Verdes FC due to positive COVID-19 tests at the latter club.
Prior to the preliminary round match between Arcahaie FC (Haiti) and Verdes FC (Belize), four players and four staff members from Verdes FC were tested positive.
Those individuals have been isolated from their team and are complying with Concacaf protocols and all laws and regulations imposed by local authorities.
Concacaf is working with officials from Verdes FC to ensure the required support is provided.
No date to play the match has been arranged yet.
For another Nations League match Tuesday night, one Managua FC player and staff member have tested positive before its match against CD FAS (El Salvador). Managua FC hails from Nicaragua.
The individuals have been isolated from their respective teams and are complying with Concacaf protocols and all laws and regulations imposed by local authorities. Concacaf is working with both clubs to ensure the required support is available to them.
All other players, members of the travelling delegation and match officials have received confirmed negative tests and are eligible to participate in the match, which will be played as scheduled.
