Some bit of good news for New York City FC:

Midfielder Maxi Moralez made the trip with the team for Sunday’s 6 p.m. encounter at Columbus Crew SC.

Moralez, arguably Major League Soccer’s best playmaker when he is healthy, hasn’t played in more than a month, since a win over FC Cincinnati Sept. 13, due to a knee injury.

It will be up to head coach Ronny Deila to determine whether Moralez can start or come off the bench, although the latter seems likely.

NYCFC, which has been struggling to find offensive consistency without key players, needs all the help it can get.

Four players are sidelined for Sunday’s match – Heber, James Samds, Tayvon Gray and Gedion Zelalem.
