NEW YORK – For the third time in seven days, Major League Soccer has been forced to postpone a Colorado Rapids game due to COVID-19.

The league Friday announced that the match between the Rapids and the LA Galaxy, scheduled for Saturday at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park, has been postponed.

MLS also postponed the Oct. 3 contest between Colorado and the Portland Timbers and Wednesday night’s (Oct. 7) game between Colorado and Los Angeles FC.

Following one new confirmed case of COVID-19 among the Rapids player pool, MLS, in consultation with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, as well as the league’s infectious disease experts, has postponed the match to ensure the health and safety of all players and staff.

Further details regarding when this match will be played will be announced at a later date.
