NEW YORK – For the second time within a week, a Colorado Rapids match has been postponed due to COVID-19.

Major League Soccer announced that Wednesday night’s match between the Rapids and Los Angeles Football Club, scheduled for DICK’S Sporting Goods Park, has been postponed.

After one new confirmed case of COVID-19 among the Rapids staff, MLS, in consultation with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and infectious disease experts, have postponed the match to ensure the health and safety of all players and staff.

Further details regarding when the match will be played will be announced at a later date.

On Oct. 1, the Rapids’ match with the Portland Timbers on Oct. 3 was postponed after two more Colorado players and one additional staff member had confirmed cases of COVID-19.

That game is scheduled to be played Nov. 4 at 10 p.m. ET.
