FIFA has suspended the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association and Concacaf has taken further action, the confederation announced Friday.

During an emergency meeting of the Concacaf Council Thursday night, it was determined Trinidad & Tobago would be drawn in the preliminary matches of the 2021 Gold Cup as planned.

The Soca Warriors, however, only will participate in the competition if the suspension imposed on the TTFA is lifted by FIFA by 5 p.m. ET Dec. 18.

If the suspension isn’t lifted by FIFA then, Trinidad and Tobago will be replaced in the preliminary by the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association as the next highest ranked team based on its 2019 Concacaf Nations League performance.

The Gold Cup draw is set for Monday at 8 p.m.
