HARRISON, N.J. – Sky Blue FC has reached an agreement with Paris FC of Division 1 Féminine in France to loan rookie defender Kaleigh Riehl through February, the National Women’s Soccer League announced Friday.
She will join fellow teammate forward Evelyne Viens at the club.
Riehl is the NCAA Division all-time leader in minutes played by a position player and was acquired by Sky Blue with the 11th overall pick of the 2020 NWSL College Draft. She made her first professional appearance and start in the club’s second NWSL Challenge Cup match against Utah Royals FC July 4.
Paris FC (7-3-6) finished fifth in the Division 1 Féminine in 2019-20 season. The team’s 2020-21 campaign began Sept. 6 with a loss to Olympique Lyonnais. It’s next match is against Le Havre Sept. 26.
