Besides winning the 1995 U.S. Women’s Interregional Soccer League title, the Long Island Lady Riders certainly earned many individual awards.

The team won the Eastern Division with a 9-1-1 record, outscoring the opposition, 30-11. The Lady Riders earned a spot in the Sizzlin’ Six Championship and ran the table, winning all three matches. They defeated Southern California in the Aug. 12 final in Cincinnati, 2-0.

The award winners:

* Offensive MVP – Gina Vassallo-Tucker

* Defensive MVP – Kim Conway

* Goalkeeper of the year – Kim Wyant

* Coach of the year – Peter Collins

Tucker, Conway and Wyant also were selected to all-tournament team.
