HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – New Amsterdam FC dropped a 3-0 decision to Detroit City FC in a National Independent Soccer Association fall season match at Keyworth Stadium Saturday night.

New Amsterdam (0-2-0) played the final 59 minutes a man down after Mahmoud Keita incurred his second yellow card in the 41st minute.

By then, Detroit City FC (1-1-1) enjoyed a 2-0 advantage.

Connor Rutz gave the hosts all the scoring they needed in the seventh minute with his third goal this season.

Only four minutes later, Detroit City FC doubled the lead with his third goal in all competitions.

Rutz tallied his second goal as he blasted a right-footed shot into the lower corner of the net in the 61st minute.

Two more red cards were handed out in the second half, one to each team. Detroit’s Elijah Rice received. It was not known which NAFC player also was dismissed.

Detroit City will visit the Cosmos in a rescheduled match at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale N.Y. Wednesday at 7 p.m.
