The United Soccer League confirmed Wednesday that three individuals tested positive with COVID-19 from three USL Championship clubs.

The league announced that 1,143 tests were administered to players and club staff from the 35 teams between Aug 17-24.

Those players or club staff who have tested positive will have self-isolated in line with the guidelines provided by the USL and only those who have tested negative will be permitted to enter training ground facilities. Anyone identified via contact tracing will also be quarantined and tested.

The names of the individuals were not revealed.

USL League One

The league announced that one individual tested positive in League One.

A total of 465 tests were administered to players and club staff from the 11 League One clubs between Aug. 17-24.

Those players or club staff who have tested positive will now self-isolate in line with the guidelines provided by the USL and only those who have tested negative will be permitted to enter training ground facilities. Anyone identified via contact tracing also will be quarantined and tested.

The names of the individuals were not revealed.
