In wake of what has transpired in the past several days, New York City FC Thursday morning called off its Zoom media press conference with head coach Ronny Deila and center back Alex Callens.

It was scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m.

The conference call has not been rescheduled yet.

On Wednesday night, five MLS games were postponed due to the players’ decision to take a stand on the Jacob Blake shooting and racism.

Every MLS team has used the internet to hold pre- and post-match press conference since the return to play.

NYCFC is scheduled to play Chicago Fire FC at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Earlier in the day, the Red Bulls called off their 8:45 a.m. media presser.
