Editor Michael Lewis has been honored twice by the Garden State Journalists Association.

Lewis earned second-place honors in a pair of print categories.

In the print sports feature category, Lewis wrote about Princeton Soccer Association and U.S. Paralympic national team member Shea Hammond for

“Princeton Soccer Association’s Shea Hammond Steps up with US Paralympic National Team”

In the print sports column category, Lewis wrote about Sky Blue FC about its problems and challenges during the 2019 National Women’s Soccer League season for

“Offside Remarks: Sky Blue FC Needs New Owners and a Move To a Major Market”

“I want to thank the GSJA for the honors and EDP Soccer for giving me the opportunity to write about Shea Hammond’s remarkable story,” Lewis said. “Shea’s life story should be an inspiration for everyone. I was fortunate to be able to share it with the soccer community. It was my favorite story of 2019.”
