METUCHEN, N.J. – FC Copa Academy Wednesday announced the hiring of Jef Thiffault as director of club development and communications.

Thiffault will be responsible for the implementation of FC Copa’s expansion efforts at FC Copa Millstone and FC Copa Brooklyn, oversee marketing and public relations, guide relationships with FC Copa’s partners and direct an array of special projects.

He joined FC Copa with two decades of experience at the highest levels of the sport, having previously held roles at Major League Soccer/Soccer United Marketing and as managing director of the National Premier Soccer League. He is the founder of Contigo Sports Management, which provides stadium operations services at major international matches for entities such as Relevent Sports, Red Bulls, SUM and countless professional clubs and national teams. He is also part of the ownership group of Savannah Clovers FC of the UPSL and serves on the Advisory Board for United Women’s Soccer.
