If we really needed to be reminded, Kailen Sheridan is among the elite goalkeepers in the National Women’s Soccer League.

The Sky Blue FC player was so good during the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup that she was named the goalkeeper of the tournament.

The Canadian international allowed six goals in as many matches – three in a 3-2 semifinal loss to the Chicago Red Stars – while recording three shutouts and producing a competition-best 21 saves.

“Very honored and humbled by this!” Sheridan said on Twitter. “Also want to share this with my back line and whole team for their defensive effort this year! Incredibly proud of all your hard works on and off the field Blue heart let’s keep pushing the standard.”
