Christian Pulisic scored again for Chelsea.

And the sun also rises.

The U.S. internaitonal midfielder connected for his third goal in five games for the Blues in their 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace Tuesday. That’s five matches since returning from a three-month COVID-19 pandemic delayed season.

The win boosted the Blues into third place in the English Premier League as they moved closer to booking a top four berth in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Pulisic has scored or drawn the fouls that has led to six of the 12 Chelsea goals since returning from hiatus.

Not too shabby.

The latest came in the 27th minute as Pulisic tallied from a difficult angle on the left side of the penalty area for a 2-0 advantage. He has scored eight goals in 21 appearances this season.

“I knew the talent that Christian has,” Chelsea manager Frank Lampard said. “He has come in and been great for us. The quality for us — and the end product — is great.”

The Blues have four EPL contests left, visiting Sheffield United on Saturday.
