The U.S. Adult Soccer Association has decided to postpone its 2000 AGM until February 2001, the organization has announced.
“With the health and safety of our members and affiliates as top priority and the uncertainty around the hotel and government regulations, the board decided on the option to hold the meeting in February 2021 congruent with U.S. Soccer’s AGM,” USASA president John Motta wrote.
“Instead of a truncated meeting or one with limited attendance, it was agreed it was best to wait until we can gather the entire USASA affiliate family together.”
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many organizations and sports league to postpone or delay activities.
On Twitter, Motta said, “It wasn’t an easy decision but in the best interest of our members, it was necessary. We hope we will all be together soon!”
The USASA traditionally holds its AGM in the fall.
