After running reruns of some of its most memorable programs for almost the last two months, Soccer is a Kick in the Grass radio show will return with live broadcast on Monday, June 15.

The show, which can be heard WYSL-AM 1040, will celebrate its 26th anniversary on the air that night, with some special guests.

“With the Bundesliga, La Liga, the English Premiership, the NWSL starting up in June and hopefully, MLS and Serie A, Soccer is a Kick in the Grass will return to its live format June 15,” co-host Andrew Battisti said before Monday night’s show. “It coincides with the 26th anniversary of our show. Thank you so much for supporting us through this hiatus where we’ve been playing our Best Of shows. We look forward to being back on the air live on June 15.”

Soccer is a Kick in the Grass’ last live show was on April 13.

Former Lancers trainer Joe Sirianni is a co-host with one-time Canadian international and Lancers goalkeeper Dick Howard and FrontRowSoccer.com editor Michael Lewis as regulars.

Monday night’s show featured interviews with four members of the Lancers Hall of Fame – Jim Pollihan, Eli Durante, Branko Segota and the late Mike Stojanovic.
