Rochester Lancers defender Anthony Rozzano has been named one of three finalists for Major Arena Soccer League rookie of the year honors.

The others in the running are Dallas Sidekicks midfielder Luiz Felipe Xavier De Andrade and St. Louis Ambush forward Duduca Carvalho.

Rozzano was one of three Lancers who were named honorable mention selections on the All-MASL rookie team along with defender Diego Mayanga and midfielder Rafa Godoi.

A Webster Schroeder High School graduate, Rozzano led the Lancers in scoring, finishing the season with nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points He was assessed 32 penalty minutes and blocked 20 shots.

Each active MASL player, head coach, and one member of each team front office were invited to submit one ballot. Voting was based on the regular season performances.
