KANSAS CITY, Mo. — United Soccer Coaches will start broadcasting the first episode of “Coaching Through COVID”, a free web series that looks at the challenges coaches and clubs are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The association will broadcast its first episode on Tuesday, April 14 at 3 p.m. ET.

Each episode will be hosted by Dean Linke, longtime soccer broadcaster and host of the United Soccer Coaches Podcast, and will feature panels of coaches and industry professionals as they cover a variety of issues and challenges that face all of us during these unprecedented times.

The six-episode series kicks off on Tuesday, April 14 at 3 p.m. ET with “Your Youth Soccer Organization Can Survive COVID-19.” Linke will lead the discussion that features Steve Danbusky, executive director of Beach FC (Va.) and Club Champions League President; Andy Haile, Associate Law Professor, Elon University School of Law and United Soccer Coaches Board Member; Skip Gilbert, US Youth Soccer CEO; Paul Ellis, technical director for Southwestern Youth Association (Va.); and Bo Eskay, FC Frederick (Md.) executive director.

The second episode will take place two days later on Thursday, April 16 at 3 p.m. ET with a pair of United Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame members, former USWNT Mental Skills Coach Dr. Colleen Hacker and North Carolina Women’s Head Coach Anson Dorrance, speaking on “Keeping it Positive in an Unpredictable World.”

The remaining four episodes will occur on subsequent Tuesdays starting on April 21 at 2 p.m. ET with Chelsea FC women’s manager Emma Hayes and United Soccer Coaches Past President and current FIFPRO Chief Women’s Football Officer Amanda Vandervort on “Effective Leadership Through Tough Times.”
