The Capital District Youth Soccer League will present its 10th annual Coaches Workshop at Afrim’s Sports Park in Colonie, N.Y. this Saturday, March 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration starts at 8:30 a.m.

The workshop, the largest annual gathering annually of upstate soccer coaches, provides a one-day venue for coaches and club administrators to combine attendance at the mandatory coaches meetings with clinics and workshops that enhance player, team and club development plus safety. The clinicians lineup includes:

* Beestera Soccer Training, featuring coaches James Beeston, Matt Needham and Mike Matera

* John Ciano, the College of St. Rose men’s soccer coach

* Adam Clifton, “A” license coach who has been the RPI men’s coach since 2002

* Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association ODP coach Chris Cormier

* Neal Ellis, the former director of coaching and development for the South Texas Youth Soccer Association

* Bill Sampaio, national director of Grassroots Education for US Youth Futsal

* Bill Steffen, sports psychologist at Wingate University

A lunch for new coaches (first and second year) will be served at the mandatory coaches meeting.
