CHICAGO – U.S. women’s national team head coach Vlatko Andonovski has named the 23-player tournament roster for the 2020 SheBelieves Cup.

The U.S. roster features all 20 players who helped the Americans win the 2020 Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament and earn a berth to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Of the three players on this roster who were not on the Olympic qualifying squad, two were on the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup championship team in forward Mallory Pugh and defender Tierna Davidson. Three players who were not on the World Cup Team made the 2020 SheBelieves Cup roster in defender Casey Short, midfielder Andi Sullivan and forward Lynn Williams.

Rockville Centre, N.Y. native Crystal Dunn, a left back on the USWNT, also was named to the squad.

Should midfielder Julie Ertz play in the opening game against England, it will mark her 100th cap, making her the 40th U.S. women’s player to hit the century mark.

The tournament features the Women’s World Cup champion and top-ranked Americans, No. 6 England, No. 10 Japan and No. 13 Spain.

All four teams made the knockout rounds of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup last summer in France. England, Spain and Japan have also announced their tournament rosters.
