Is New York City FC about to add a top youth defensive midfielder to its roster?

According to a report out of Uruguay from Sport 890’s Andres Cancellera, Uruguayan youth international Nicolas Acevedo will join the MLS club.

Acevedo plays for Liverpool (English Premier League).
