HARRISON, N.J. — MSG Networks and the Red Bulls Tuesday unveiled their telecast schedule for the MLS season.
The networks will televise up to 20 of the Red Bulls’ 34 regular season matches.
MSG Networks, which has been the regional television home of the Red Bulls (previously the MetroStars) since 1996, will telecast pregame and postgame coverage for all home games the network televises, and pregame shows for all away games it televises.
Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Steve Cangialosi returns for his 13th season as the team’s play-by-play announcer, alongside former Cosmos, New York Arrows and former Olympic goalkeeper Shep Messing, who now in his 20th season as game analyst. Michelle Gingras also returns for her third season as host and sideline reporter.
Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn in English and Spanish will be back for a sixth season. Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley return for the English broadcast, while Ernesto Motta provides Spanish play-by-play. The Spanish radio broadcast also will feature as the SAP option for all MSG broadcasts. Red Bulls Radio can be found on NewYorkRedBulls.com, the official Red Bulls app, or via TuneIn website and app.
MSG Networks will televise the Red Bulls’ season opener when the team kicks off itscampaign versus FC Cincinnati at Red Bull Arena on Sunday at 1 p.m. Last year,the Red Bulls clinched a postseason berth for the 10th consecutive season, tied for the second longest streak in MLS history.
MSG Networks will televise seven of the team’s first eight games of the year. Red Bulls games on MSG Networks will also be available for viewing on MSG GO, MSG Networks’ live streaming and video on demand platform for smartphones, tablets and computers.
