QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John’s University women’s head coach Ian Stone has announced the dates of spring season, which includes four home games against collegiate squads.

The Red Storm’s spring campaign starts at home on Saturday, March 28 at noon against Manhattan College. St. John’s has seen success against its local foe during the regular season, boasting an overall record of 10-0-1 in a series dating back to 1991.

One week later, St. John’s will welcome Adelphi University to Belson Stadium for a 1 p.m. meeting. The two programs have not played each other during the regular season since 1998 when the Johnnies fell to the Panthers, 2-0.

The following day, the Red Storm will welcome back some of St. John’s women’s soccer greats to Belson Stadium as the alumnae will challenge the current roster at 1:30 p.m.

April 19 takes the Red Storm to the University of Connecticut as the Johnnies take on the Huskies, who are returning to the Big East for the fall season, in a 1 p.m. matchup.

On Friday, April 24, St. John’s will host Rutgers University at 7 p.m. The Johnnies and the Scarlet Knights last met during the regular season in 2012 when Rutgers was still part of the Big East. That year, the Red Storm netted the game-winning goal in the 19th minute to down the Scarlet Knights, 1-0, at Belson.

St. John’s will close out its spring slate with Fordham University at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. The Red Storm and Rams have played each other 16 times over the course of the Johnnies’ 33-year history. The Johnnies have not lost to the Rams since 2001, as the program boasts a 4-0-1 record in the teams last five meetings.
